Aleksandra Szmyd at the New Year Gala in KKL Luzern

On 23 January 2026, Aleksandra Szmyd appeared during the “Galakonzert zum Neujahr 2026” at KKL Luzern in Switzerland. The concert featured the Wiener Johann Strauss Orchester conducted by Alfred Eschwé together with tenor Jörg Schneider.

The evening followed the tradition of Viennese New Year concerts and focused on the repertoire of the Strauss dynasty as well as operetta classics by Franz Lehár. Audiences heard works including “An der schönen blauen Donau”, “Unter Donner und Blitz”, excerpts from “Die Fledermaus”, “Der Zigeunerbaron” and “Eine Nacht in Venedig”, alongside celebrated operetta arias and duets.
