Aleksandra Szmyd during the “Return of the Legend” concert at the Royal Łazienki Museum

On 28 October 2025, Aleksandra Szmyd appeared as a special guest during the “Return of the Legend” concert held in the Ballroom of the Palace on the Isle at the Royal Łazienki Museum in Warsaw. The event, prepared by the Morphing Chamber Orchestra under the artistic direction of Tomasz Wabnic, referred to the historic Johann Strauss concert performed there in 1850 in the presence of Emperor Franz Joseph.

The concert took place exactly 175 years after the legendary performance in the same location. Audiences heard some of the most famous waltzes and polkas by Johann Strauss II presented within the historic interiors of the Palace on the Isle, creating an atmosphere inspired by imperial Vienna and nineteenth-century salon music.

A musical return to the golden era of Vienna

Aleksandra Szmyd performed together with the Morphing Chamber Orchestra, adding an operatic and vocal dimension to the evening. The concert combined elegant Viennese repertoire with a contemporary interpretation while preserving the historical atmosphere associated with Strauss’ music.

The event was organized in cooperation with the Royal Łazienki Museum and attracted audiences interested both in musical heritage and the history of the venue itself. The concert was warmly received by the Warsaw audience.
