Aleksandra Szmyd with Camerata Polonia during the “Polen im Herzen” concert in Vienna

On 29 April 2026, Aleksandra Szmyd appeared in Vienna during the “Polen im Herzen” concert together with the chamber orchestra Camerata Polonia conducted by Marek Kudlicki. The event took place at the Festsaal des Amtshauses Wien 3 as part of Polish cultural events organized in the Austrian capital.

The concert program included works by Handel, Moniuszko, Chopin, Karłowicz, Puccini, Lorenc and Kilar. The evening combined Polish and European repertoire, presenting both classical music and compositions strongly connected with Polish musical heritage and cultural tradition.

Polish music on the Viennese concert stage

Aleksandra Szmyd appeared as the evening’s soprano soloist together with Camerata Polonia — an orchestra active for many years within Vienna’s Polish cultural community. The concert was organized with the support of the City of Vienna, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vienna and the magazine “Polonika”.

The audience warmly received the concert, which became a musical meeting point between Polish culture and Vienna’s concert tradition. Camerata Polonia and Marek Kudlicki have long promoted Polish artists and classical repertoire in Austria.
