Munich’s summer nights shone brighter with the incredible Italienische Sommernacht concert on July 18 and 19, 2024, at Brunnenhof der Residenz. As part of the grand finale of the Summer Proms, this event offered audiences a mesmerizing operatic experience. One of the standout performances came from Aleksandra Szmyd, whose soprano voice filled the historic courtyard with beauty and emotion.
Under the baton of Andrea Sanguineti, the Münchner Symphoniker brought the greatest works of Verdi, Puccini, Bellini, and Donizetti to life. Performing alongside the renowned Jesús León (tenor), Aleksandra Szmyd delivered stunning renditions of iconic arias and duets, leaving the audience in awe. The concert’s magical atmosphere and brilliant artistry earned thunderous applause and standing ovations.
