The Accademia Rossiniana ‘Alberto Zedda’ and the Accademia Musicale ‘Bernardo De Muro’ of Tempio Pausania will present La Cenerentola, directed by Andrea Solinas and staged by Matteo Anselmi, at the Teatro del Carmine on October 14th and 16th. The production features sets by Lorenzo Mazzoletti, costumes by Viola Sartoretto, and lighting by Umberto Camponeschi. The cast includes Tamar Ugrekhelidze (Angelina), Marco Puggioni (Don Ramiro), Carlo Sgura (Dandini), Gianluca Lentini (Don Magnifico), Aleksandra Szmyd (Clorinda), Claire Coolen (Tisbe), and Valerio Pagano (Alidoro), with the orchestra and chorus from the Accademia Musicale ‘Bernardo De Muro’.
Cristian Della Chiara, Director General of the ROF, expressed excitement about the project, emphasizing the collaboration between the Accademia Rossiniana and the Accademia Musicale ‘Bernardo De Muro’. He mentioned the strong relationships built with the Tempio Pausania community and Maestro Fabrizio Ruggero, and extended his best wishes to the company ahead of the debut performance.
Ernesto Palacio, Intendant and Director of the Accademia Rossiniana, highlighted the significance of their collaboration, which centers on Rossini’s music. He shared that the artists involved are all young, at the beginning of their careers, and are debuting in La Cenerentola. This project allows the Academy to share Rossini’s work more widely and offers opportunities for emerging artists.
